Stunning illustrations, full of color, bring the pages to life and the carefully written text is simple, easy to understand, and suitable to be read aloud. It also features some facts about the Qur’an and common questions children might ask, such as: what does the word “Qur’an” actually mean? Sara Khan is a writer, translator, and PhD candidate based in the UK. This is her first book. Alison Lodge is a children’s illustrator based in North Wales, UK., A unique product for this age group. Other books have been produced that introduce stories from the Qur’an for slightly older children but this book offers young children basic teachings from the Qur’an. Has the potential to be a ‘must-have’ book for all Muslim parents. Focuses on the universal messages that are common to all faiths – peace and love – and manners that we all wish for our children – to look after the environment, care for our family, friends and neighbors. Split into three parts: 1 – Allah created everything, 2 – Allah guides us, 3 – what Allah wants Muslims to do. It is illustrated in a way that is common to many Christian children’s books (the illustrator worked on a Bible book for children in the UK) and will not feel out of place in a mainstream bookshop. This book will be significantly cheaper than the alternatives for slightly older children and is priced to sell in volume. Includes a page at the end of the book that introduces the Qur’an and answers some questions children might ask about it.
